Spring 2019 Season

Spring 2019 field hockey is here!  Games will be in the late afternoons on Saturdays in April and May.  The times are being arranged as not to conflict with lacrosse and other sports.   There will be no practices only games.

Locations are still being confirmed by will possibly be Herndon High School and/or Nike 4.

Everyone plays 7 v 7 and is a six-week schedule because of spring break.

Also, if you are interested in being a coach for Great Falls Field Hockey we will be hosting a Level 1 US Field Hockey coaching clinic on February 24th.  If you have not yet coached and would like to coach, please reach out and I can speak with you further about the great experience.

Can't wait to see you all on the field,

Christine

Please Remember:

All Players must show up to the field with the proper equipment to play:

  • Field Hockey Stick

It is important to have the correct size stick to execute both basic and advanced skills. The length can be the deciding factor in completing a pass, making a tackle…or making a mistake.  Sticks can range from 28” – 37.5” or more. Typically, the stick should come up to the top of your hipbone.

Below are some basic height/size guidelines:
